Because there is ALWAYS something in life you didn't know!

You've found the Official website of "The Didja Know Show" ! We're teen identical twin girls on a quest to prove to you that learning can be fun, exciting, and sometimes even ridiculous!
Our webshow will be posted here, but we also will include articles, facts, and basically anything that we think you might find interesting, too.

O
ur show consists of our regular "Didja Know Show", but we have also been doing "In the Lab" and "In the Library" segments, too. The  "In The Lab" segments are science experiments that are easy and fun for you to try at home.  The  "In The Library"  segments are book reviews  and other fun things we come across "In The Library"!  No matter what segment we're doing, every episode is always done H & C style!

We have received emails from all over the world telling us that our episodes are being shown in their schools. That is AWESOME!

We don't know how you found us, but we do know that we are really glad you did! Take a look around and we hope you will find something that you didn't know!

If you happen to be on Twitter you can even get some facts and random thoughts from us there. You can find us at

Are the birds above flying? Cool illusion!

What about these beans? Are they really moving?

So cool how our brain can fool us, huh?

Do you enjoy a good book? There is just something awesome about being able to pick up a book, and fall into a story that takes you somewhere you have never been. We found a website to help you choose some great new books to read.

Remember the "Cloak of Invisibility" Harry Potter used at Hogwarts?
You might be surprised to learn that researchers at the University of California at Berkeley say they are very close to inventing it!
They have designed two new substances called metamaterials. One is made of small wires, and the other has a fishnet of tiny metal layers. They both have negative refraction, which means they do not absorb or reflect light waves.
So all you have to do is put it on and you're invisible!
Crazy, but true!
We can't wait until that comes out! When our mom is looking for us to do chores- POOF! We're gone!

Didja know that a man named Max Donelan at Simon Fraser University in Canada developed a device that collects peoples energy while they are walking?

It's a 3.5 pound device that is worn around your knee. He calls it the Bionic Energy Harvester, and a walker can generate enough energy to charge 5 cell phones!

Fill Up My Car With Algae?

Yes, we said it, algae! The green stuff you find at

the beach!
Scientists at Arizona State University are working on a new source of replacement fuel. They are growing algae that can be turned into fuel. With so many good reasons to not use petroleum products like oil and gasoline, it's a great "green" idea! They are calling it "green
crude".
The algae uses Carbon Dioxide to grow, which balances out the Carbon Dioxide released in the air
when it's used as fuel. It won't require food or grains like other biofuels that are part of our food supply! (although
we know in other countries people do eat algae.)
So, some time in the future you might hear your parents say "Fill 'er up with algae!" Now that's really going green!
